Welcoming Infected Blood Compensation Commitment – Seeking Clarity on Delivery Resources

I welcomed the Government’s pledge to fully fund increased compensation for victims of the Infected Blood scandal — estimated at £1 billion — but urged ministers to confirm that the necessary infrastructure and staffing will also be in place to deliver the scheme effectively.

Speaking during a Commons debate, I pressed for guarantees that victims would not face further delays.

This is a devastating injustice. Victims and their families deserve swift, compassionate redress — not more bureaucracy.

I remain committed to securing transparency, efficiency and lasting justice for those affected in Redditch and nationwide.
