Honouring the FTD Brothers

Jordan and Cian Adams are the pride of Redditch, and that is why they are being honoured with Freedom of the Borough.

But we should go one step further.

Working with their team, we're going to be delivering a letter to Downing Street on the 2nd of July 2026, calling for the brothers to be honoured for their incredible work raising awareness about frontotemporal dementia, and fundraising millions of pounds for research.

Will you sign the letter and call for Jordan and Cian's incredible work to be recognised at the highest level?

Add your name to the letter:

Dear Prime Minister,

I know you’re aware of two of my constituents, Jordan and Cian Adams, known to millions at The FTD Brothers, who recently ran 33 marathons in 33 days, in memory of their mother Geraldine.

Geraldine was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2010, at the age of 47, when Jordan was 15, Cian was 9 and sister Kennedy was 17. Alongside their father Glenn, the siblings cared for their mother in the family home until her death at just 52. The family were originally from Ireland, and in running through every county in Ireland, her sons have cemented an incredible legacy for her and the 12 Irish relatives they have lost to FTD including their grandmother and aunt.

Jordan and Cian have both inherited the MAPT gene mutation that cases FTD, which gives them a 99.9% chance of developing FTD in their mid-forties. After supporting their mother through the life shattering condition and knowing that they will too be impacted by it, they made a choice: to use their lives to not only raise awareness of dementia, but also raise funds to help others affected by dementia and have, to date, raised over £2.4 million for Alzheimer’s Research UK, The Society of Alzheimer’s Ireland and their own FTD Brother’s Foundation.  The day before setting off on their cross-county Irish mission,  millions of people became of aware of Jordan’s incredible efforts in running the 2026 London Marathon with a fridge on his back, representing the weight of a life limiting diagnosis, but also the weight carried by carers and the families of those affected by dementia.

Their incredible work has not only raised awareness of dementia but has encouraged more families to seek support and consider genetic testing and medical advice to give them the best possible life expectancy.

Redditch could not be prouder of the work Jordan and Cian have carried out, and the incredible legacy they are creating. Their perseverance in the face of tragedy, and in the knowledge of their own diagnosis is inspiring and represents the very best of not just my constituency, but of our country.

Would you please join the people of Redditch in celebrating Jordan and Cian’s incredible efforts and fundraising, and recognise their achievements through the honours system?

Best wishes,
