Visiting Lexon to Champion NHS Medicines Supply Chain

I visited the Lexon distribution centre in East Moons Moat, Redditch, to meet staff and senior leaders from Bestway Healthcare and the Healthcare Distribution Association. The site employs over 300 local people and plays a vital role in delivering medicines to NHS hospitals, pharmacies and GP surgeries nationwide.

I discussed key sector challenges including pharmacy funding, rising costs, net zero investment and regulatory reform. I pledged to raise these issues with Ministers.

This facility is a cornerstone of our local economy and critical to safeguarding patient care across the UK.
