Urging Urgent Action on Stroke Recovery and Prevention on World Stroke Day

ree

I called for urgent improvements in stroke prevention and rehabilitation services during a Westminster Hall debate on World Stroke Day. Highlighting that nearly 2,000 stroke survivors in Redditch and the Villages face long-term challenges, I stressed the need for better community-based care and long-term support. I praised local and national charities for their vital work and emphasised the importance of shifting focus from hospital to home care, using technology and tackling risk factors like high blood pressure. I pledged to continue working with the Stroke Association to improve lives and ensure survivors get the support they deserve.
