I welcomed the Government’s action to secure British Steel’s future, highlighting its importance to local manufacturers. Speaking during an Urgent Question in the House of Commons, I noted local firms rely on British Steel and want access to more steel grades. Minister Blair McDougall confirmed workforce briefings have begun, stressing workers remain central.
