I called for urgent reforms to deliver better outcomes for savers during a Commons debate on Financial Services Reform. Highlighting the 29 million adults holding deposits in low-yielding accounts, I urged the Government to focus on helping working families—not just the City—benefit from long-term investment opportunities.
People in Redditch want to plan for the future, but many feel overwhelmed by financial jargon. We need better education, clearer information and fairer outcomes.
Treasury Minister Emma Reynolds agreed, supporting an industry-led campaign to boost public awareness and build saver confidence through financial inclusion.
