SUPPORTING LOCAL FARMERS AND RURAL ECONOMY

This week, I met with local farmers and NFU representatives to discuss the proposed changes to Agricultural and Business Property Reliefs. These family farms are the backbone of our rural economy, and I valued hearing their concerns firsthand. The farmers shared the potential human, emotional, mental, and financial impacts these changes could have on their operations. To gain a deeper understanding of their challenges, I'm planning visits to local farms in the coming weeks. I'm committed to supporting our agricultural community and will continue to advocate for their interests as we navigate these potential policy changes.
