Standing Up Against Fly-Tipping

I have called for urgent action on fly-tipping in Parliament, highlighting over 1,500 incidents in Redditch last year, yet only one penalty was issued.

Fly-tipping blights our countryside, harms farmers, and impacts rural communities. I urged DEFRA ministers to work closely with local councils and tighten regulations to crack down on offenders, particularly organised criminals abusing waste permit exemptions.

The Minister pledged to explore stronger enforcement measures. I added that protecting our rural areas is a top priority, and I will continue pushing for justice for our communities and farmers affected by this crime.
