I spoke in a Westminster Hall debate on Parkinson’s disease, drawing on my personal experience as the son and grandson of Parkinson’s sufferers. I paid tribute to unpaid carers, highlighting the emotional and physical toll of supporting loved ones through severe mobility loss and psychiatric challenges.
As a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Parkinson’s, I welcomed improvements to carer’s allowance but urged the Government to go further. Carers are the lifeblood of our care system and they deserve our full support.
