Raising Awareness for Improved PSA Testing Guidelines

I recently attended Prostate Cancer UK’s parliamentary reception, learning more about the need to consider updates to PSA testing guidelines. Current guidance doesn’t always account for individual risk, which may overlook those who could benefit from early detection. Evidence suggests that enabling GPs to discuss PSA testing with higher-risk men may enhance early detection efforts. I support increased awareness for men’s health across Redditch and the UK, encouraging a review that strengthens early detection. Prostate Cancer UK’s specialist nurses are also available to provide advice and support to those in need.
