I demanded an end to insecurity dressed up as choice, calling for a radical overhaul of the UK’s employment status system.
Speaking in Westminster, I highlighted the struggles of local delivery drivers, postal workers and care staff trapped in a three-tier system that denies them sick pay and job security. I warned that the current framework allows some employers to undercut responsible businesses, creating a race to the bottom.
I am advocating for a single worker status to close loopholes and ensure all employees receive the dignity and protection they deserve. Too often, people working regular hours are told they are self-employed. That is not genuine flexibility - it is exploitation. I pledged to keep pressing for reforms that deliver stability and stronger rights for working people.
