Opening Abbeywood Nature Reserve

I officially opened a new nature reserve at Abbeywood First School. Delivered through a community volunteering project with David Wilson Homes, the green space provides local pupils with hands-on opportunities to study wildlife, biodiversity and the environment. Welcomed by Head of School Zoe Gilmour, I toured the reserve and joined pupils for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Access to nature inspires curiosity. Projects like this show what can be achieved when schools and local businesses partner for our children’s education.
