Meeting Young Carers and Calling for Stronger Support

I recently met young carers Jesse and Elise at the YSS Young Carers Forum in Warndon to hear about the challenges they face balancing education with caring for disabled parents.

I described them as some of the best young people in our communities and praised their dedication and highlighted key concerns—including transport costs and the lack of support for carers in full-time education.

With over 60 new young carer referrals regularly across Worcestershire, I pledge to take their voices to Parliament and push for stronger legal protections and practical support.
