Meeting Wychavon Council Leaders

I met with Wychavon District Council leadership in Pershore to discuss local government reorganisation and strategic planning. Meeting Council Leader Richard Morris, Chief Executive Vic Allison and the Executive Board, I discussed the transition toward creating North and South Worcestershire unitary councils by April 2028. Talks covered the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review, planning frameworks and cross-party cooperation. I stressed the importance of preserving Wychavon’s operational experience while redrawing authority boundaries. I welcomed constructive cross-party discussion.
