Meeting Leading Dementia Charities to Champion Early Diagnosis and Support

I met with Alzheimer’s Research UK and the Alzheimer’s Society to discuss improving early diagnosis and support for people living with dementia. I highlighted the unacceptable delays faced by many families and pledged to work with charities and colleagues to prioritise dementia in national health policy. I praised local support services like Singing for the Brain and reaffirmed my commitment as a Dementia Champion to ensure everyone receives timely care and support. I stressed the need for better diagnostic pathways, increased research funding and improved access to specialist care for all communities.
