Marking D-Day Anniversary in Redditch

I joined veterans and residents at the Gardens of Remembrance to mark the 82nd D-Day anniversary and celebrate 105 years of the Redditch Royal British Legion. I laid a poppy wreath, delivered a reading and reflected on my Normandy visit, saying it brought home the scale of D-Day and the sacrifice. I thanked Branch Secretary Mark Evans and the Legion for their support.

Their actions on D-Day secured our freedoms. The Redditch Royal British Legion’s work ensures we never forget the sacrifices of those who served.
