Joining Hundreds for Redditch’s Race for Life

I was honoured to launch Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life at Arrow Valley Country Park, joined by young campaigner Tilly to sound the starting horn. Nearly 900 residents took part in the 5k and 10k events, raising over £50,000 for life-saving research.

I stayed to cheer on finishers and thank the dedicated volunteers and organisers. It was incredibly moving to see our community united in hope and remembrance. Events like this show our shared determination to beat cancer and the power of coming together to support such an important cause.
