Highlighting Anti-Knife Crime Work in Redditch During Commons Debate

I praised the Government’s action to tackle knife crime while championing the powerful work of local campaigner Pete Martin in Redditch.

Speaking during Home Office questions in Parliament, I highlighted Pete’s efforts educating school pupils about the dangers of carrying knives and invited Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to visit Redditch to see the work firsthand.

I welcomed new measures including bans on zombie knives and ninja swords, Ronan’s Law and the Young Futures prevention programme—emphasising the need for both strong legislation and local action to protect young people.
