Condemning Shameful Temporary Housing Crisis

I condemned the shameful state of temporary accommodation in a Commons debate, revealing some residents choose rough sleeping over unsafe, out-of-borough placements. I highlighted local families moved miles from schools, jobs and support networks into poor-quality, privately run housing. As a member of the APPG for Households in Temporary Accommodation, I demanded national standards and better oversight, warning taxpayers' money is funding accommodation not fit for purpose. I am pushing for council-run temporary housing in Redditch and urged affected constituents to contact his office.
