Championing Local Libraries During Libraries Change Lives Week

I visited Woodrow Library to mark Libraries Change Lives Week and celebrate the vital role libraries play across Redditch and the Villages.

Welcomed by Library Manager Michelle Campbell and the dedicated team, I heard how the library supports local residents with employment advice, digital access, literacy programmes and inclusive community spaces.

This year’s theme—Libraries Change Lives by Sustaining Economic Growth—highlights the essential support libraries provide to jobseekers, learners and small businesses.

Libraries are a cornerstone of our community. I’ll continue championing their vital work locally and in Parliament.
