I led a major push in Parliament to raise awareness of gambling harm and champion the life-saving work of Redditch-based charity Gordon Moody.
Speaking in the Commons and hosting a packed Westminster reception, I celebrated the charity’s pioneering partnership with Redditch United FC, whose 2025/26 shirts will proudly display the Gordon Moody logo.
I also praised The Moody Walkers, a fundraising team trekking 161 miles from Parliament to Redditch.
This partnership shows how local sport can tackle addiction, end stigma and support recovery. We now need long-term funding for these vital services.
