Championing Bus Services Bill to Reconnect Redditch and the Villages

I strongly backed the Bus Services (No.2) Bill in Parliament, calling it a long-overdue step to fix broken transport networks across Redditch and the Villages.

Drawing on my experience growing up in a village, I described local buses as lifelines and criticised decades of cuts and deregulation that left communities isolated, fares high and services unreliable.

Welcoming new powers for franchising and public ownership, I called for a system built around people, not profit—so residents in places like Harvington and Astwood Bank can access jobs, healthcare and education.
