I have secured a Westminster Hall debate to improve national safeguards for children with allergies in schools. Inspired by Helen Blythe—who lost her son Benedict to an allergic reaction—I highlighted that one in three schools have no allergy policy, over half lack spare adrenaline auto-injectors and 60% provide no training. With more than 680,000 children affected nationally, I warned that current measures are failing families.
We must ensure every school is prepared to protect children with allergies. The time for action is now.
