Calling for Debate on Accessible Policing in Redditch

I called for a Commons debate on accessible policing after raising concerns about the lack of a public front counter at the newly redeveloped Redditch Police and Fire Station. Residents must currently travel over 20 miles to speak to an officer in person, a situation that is unacceptable, especially for elderly, disabled or vulnerable people. I praised local officers but stressed the importance of face-to-face contact for community trust and safety. I will continue pressing West Mercia Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner to restore a front counter and ensure all residents can access policing services easily and safely.
