Backing National Campaign to End Youth Homelessness

I joined over 100 charities and youth organisations in backing the Youth Homeless Chapter campaign, calling for a dedicated youth chapter in the Government’s forthcoming homelessness strategy. At a powerful event in Parliament Square, I met young people with lived experience of homelessness and pledged to take their voices into Parliament.

New figures show 118,134 young people aged 16–24 were homeless or at risk in 2023/24—a 10% rise from the previous year. I am calling for urgent action on affordable youth housing, mental health support and employment access and will visit Redditch YMCA to support local efforts.
