Backing Free Breakfast Clubs in Westminster Debate

I spoke in a Westminster Hall debate on free school meals, welcoming the Labour government’s new breakfast club initiative. I highlighted that in Redditch, only one in ten schools currently offers a free breakfast club, with many relying on donations from businesses and the goodwill of teachers and parents.

I stressed that government funding is crucial to ensuring more children have access to a nutritious breakfast, rather than depending on private generosity. I continue to push for the expansion of this programme, supporting families across Redditch and ensuring every child starts the day ready to learn.
