Attending Launch of The Last School Bell

I attended the launch of The Last School Bell, a moving book by author Tony Aston honouring 21 former Redditch County High School pupils who gave their lives in the Second World War.

The event, held at Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre, brought together veterans, civic leaders, the Royal British Legion and local residents. Reading aloud the names of the fallen was deeply humbling and I praised the book as a remarkable tribute that ensures these young men’s bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
