ADVOCATING FOR BETTER EV CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

I called for urgent improvements to electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to support small businesses and van fleets transitioning to net zero. Highlighting the Logistics UK Van Report 2023, I noted that a third of respondents identified power supply issues as a major challenge in fleet electrification, with most public charging points unsuitable for vans.

I welcome Worcestershire’s upcoming EV charging strategy but stress that more must be done nationally to make installation of business-friendly charging points easier and more affordable. Supporting van-based enterprises is vital to meeting climate goals.
