Visiting Redditch’s Sandycroft Centre

I welcomed Jess Phillips MP, Minister for Safeguarding and Violence against Women and Girls, to the Sandycroft Centre in Redditch to showcase its vital support for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

The Minister met staff, volunteers and survivors involved in The Eve Project, hearing moving stories of resilience and the centre’s impact. I described Sandycroft as a genuine lifeline for women and children when they need it most and pledged to keep fighting for funding and protection. Jess Phillips praised the trauma-informed care provided and reaffirmed the Government’s goal to halve violence against women and girls within a decade.
