I highlighted the vital work of Redditch’s Community First Responders, who volunteer to provide life-saving care in emergencies before ambulances arrive. I met with Ross Harris, who has rebuilt the team after years of underfunding and praised the dedication of these local heroes. Just 12 volunteers cover Redditch, Bromsgrove, and Droitwich, each giving up at least 20 hours a month. Their swift response can mean the difference between life and death, but the service needs more support and funding to grow. I pledged to fight for better resources to ensure this lifeline remains strong for the community.
