I attended a Singing for the Brain session at Windmill Community Centre, praising the Alzheimer’s Society and volunteers for their vital work supporting people living with dementia. The weekly group offers music, games and social activities, helping participants boost wellbeing, stimulate memory and connect with others. I described the session as uplifting and highlighted the positive impact on families and carers. I encouraged anyone affected by dementia to join these free, welcoming sessions, which run for 30 weeks each year. I pledged to continue championing dementia services and raising awareness of local initiatives that reduce isolation and support community wellbeing.
