Backing Hugh’s Law to Support Families of Children with Cancer

I joined calls for the introduction of Hugh’s Law, which would provide job protection and financial support for parents when their child is diagnosed with cancer. Speaking at a cross-party parliamentary event, I heard from families affected by childhood cancer and praised the campaign led by It’s Never You. The law aims to ensure parents don’t have to choose between caring for their child and keeping their job. I stressed the urgent need for change, highlighting that over 2,500 UK families face this crisis each year. I pledged to continue backing the campaign for families in Redditch and across the country.
