I joined local stakeholders and representatives from the Japanese Embassy at The Valley, Evesham, for the Sakura Cherry Tree Ceremony. Part of a national initiative to plant 10,000 native cherry trees across the UK, the event celebrated blossom season and highlighted opportunities to promote Worcestershire to UK-based Japanese nationals. The afternoon included visits to Orchard Blossom and The Wood Norton, with special guest Keisaku Sandy Sano transported by a Morgan Motor Company Plus Four. I praised the initiative for strengthening UK–Japan ties and supporting local tourism.
