£10,000 Boost for Anti-Knife Crime Work in Redditch

I secured a £10,000 donation from the Morrisons Foundation to support Pete Martin’s vital anti-knife crime work in Redditch. Pete, who launched the Drop the Knife Project after witnessing his friend’s stabbing in 2011, has now worked with over 50,000 young people through school visits and one-on-one mentoring.

The funding will help sustain his efforts to educate and protect young people. I thanked Morrisons Store Manager Ben Smith, Community Champion Bev and the Morrisons Foundation for their support. Together, we’re making a real difference in keeping Redditch’s young people safe.
