Visiting McDonald’s Oakenshaw

I visited the McDonald’s in Oakenshaw to tour modern operations and see local job creation in action. Hosted by franchisee Robert Holdcroft, I went behind the scenes and worked on the drive-through during a busy service. I observed recent investments in digital ordering and kitchen technology across a network employing over 400 local people. I welcomed the restaurant’s backing of the upcoming RecruitFest jobs fair.

McDonald’s is an important local employer, giving young people vital work experience to build skills and confidence.
