Partnering with Age UK to Support Older Residents

I recently met with Dr. Jonathan Shapiro, Chair of Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Wyre Forest, to address the challenges facing older residents in Redditch and the Villages. Topics included the rising cost of living, changes to the winter fuel allowance, and increasing demand for advice services.

These issues significantly impact our senior community. I’m committed to working with Age UK to ensure they feel supported.

The meeting explored innovative solutions, including joint MP-Age UK surgeries, to provide direct support. I pledged to champion the needs of older residents and advocate for improved local services.
