Demanding Tougher UK Sanctions Over Sudan War Crimes

I called on the Government to introduce stronger targeted sanctions against those responsible for war crimes and atrocities in Sudan. Speaking in a Commons debate, I condemned indiscriminate aerial bombardments and drone strikes in civilian areas, urging Ministers to increase international pressure and accountability.

The UK must use every diplomatic and economic tool to protect innocent lives and hold war criminals to account.

In response, the Government confirmed sanctions against RSF leaders and commercial entities and pledged further action as the humanitarian crisis deepens across Sudan.
