Calling for Urgent Action on Ambulance Delays in Worcestershire

I raised serious concerns about ambulance handover delays in Worcestershire during a Westminster Hall debate. I highlighted shocking figures showing 66.6% of ambulances at Worcestershire Royal Hospital waited over 30 minutes in early January, leaving patients stranded in distressing conditions.

Sharing harrowing constituent stories, including an elderly woman who waited seven hours in an ambulance, I stressed the urgent need for investment in hospital resources. I also called for local inpatient children’s beds at the Alexandra Hospital to reduce unnecessary ambulance journeys. I remain committed to fighting for a fully resourced NHS.
