Visiting St George’s School to Hear Families’ Views on SEND Support

I visited St George’s C of E First School and Nursery to meet pupils, parents and staff and discuss local issues, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. The visit began with an informal coffee morning where families shared experiences of accessing specialist support alongside representatives from Worcestershire Parent Carer Forum. School Council pupils then led a tour and questioned me on health, education and homelessness. I praised the school’s strong community ethos and thanked Headteacher Claire Martin and staff for their warm welcome, reaffirming that strengthening SEND support remains a key local and parliamentary priority.
